Mrs. Lydia M. Corey, wife of Judge James K. Corey, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F.T. wing, 3113 Orchard street, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Short funeral services will be held at the residence of her daughter at 9 o'clock Thursday morning and remains will be taken to Crete for burial. By her patient endurance, kindliness of heart, and sweet Christian spirit she won the affection of all who knew her. Mrs. Corey was born Nov 28, 1823. She leaves a husband, one daughter, three sisters and one brother, and many other relatives.
Mrs. Corey came with her family to Crete in the early 702 and lived here several years, when they moved to Lincoln, Mrs. Corey had many warm friends among the older settlers of Crete. The burial occurred in Crete Thursday afternoon and was attended by a number of Cretans.
