FRUITLAND PARK— John C. Oliver, 80, died Thursday, Oct. 21.

Mr. Oliver was born in Princeton, KY. He was a U.S. Army veteran with 20 years of service; retired from the postal service with more than 20 years of service; was a member of the Moose Lodge, Leesburg; Masonic Lodge; and a former member of Elks Lodge; past president of Harbor Oaks Owners Association; and a member of Community United Methodist Church, Fruitland Park.

Survivors include his wife, Florine; sons Blake, Logan, Ohio, John A., Tucson, AZ; brother, Gene, Fort Bragg, CA; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Florida National Cemetery, with the Rev. Charlotte Lewis officiating and military honors conducted by the Army National Guard.

Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Leesburg, is in charge of arrangements.
