Judge William David Ross Dunham, II (1886-1964), of St. Augustine, well known North Florida attorney, died Tuesday morning in a Gainesville hospital. The funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, St. Augustine, where he was a vestryman for many years.

Judge Dunham was a native of St. Augustine and attended school there before going to the University of the South, Suwannee, Tenn., where he received his AB degree. He received subsequent degrees leading to practice of law from the University of South Carolina, and Washington and Lee University. He practiced law in Jacksonville a few years before returning to St. Augustine where he has been a lawyer since 1910.

He long was associated with the St. Augustine Historical Society, the Board of Flagler Hospital and the St. Augustine National Bank. Last August, the new St. Augustine Historical Society library on Charlotte Street was dedicated to him. (Palatka Daily News Obituary, Wednesday, 25 Nov 1964)
