Rites For County Woman Held Sunday
Last rites for Mrs. Clarence Long, 74, were conducted Sunday from the First Baptist Church, Chandler, with Elder J.G Cansler officiating. Burial was at the Christy cemetery southwest of Chandler, with Curry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Long who was a member of the Midlothian community, died March 11, at Shawnee following a short illness.
Ina Jane Christy was born January 19, 1879 in Davis county, Iowa. She was married to Clarence Long in 1898. To their union, six children were born, one of whom preceded her in death. Her husband preceded her in death December 1948.
She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Surviving are three daughters; Mrs. Jim Streety of Scottsdale, Arizona, Mrs. Claude Williams of route 4 Chandler, and Mrs. Grace Ragsdale of Chandler; two sons, Raymond of Shawnee and Claude of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Frank Christy of Seebrook, Texas and Amos Christy of Wellston; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
