SERVICES HELD FOR FRANK CHRISTY
Frank Christy, 67, died in the Cushing hospital, April 27 [1953]. Services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Baptist Church in Chandler conducted by Rev. H. L. Cloud and Rev. John Keefe, with interment in the Star Valley cemetery.
Christy was born December 9, 1885, near Floris, Iowa and was the son of John and Mary Christy. At the age of eight years he moved with his parents to Lincoln co. and settled seven miles southwest of Chandler on what is now known as the Christy homestead. He spent a year in the United States Army and a year in the Merchant Marines. He later married Miss Winifred Chapman of Seabrook, Texas and the couple made their home there. Four months ago he came to Cushing for his health and was staying with a cousin at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, one son James Jr. of Seabrook, three daughters, Mrs. Cecil Bennett of Austin, Texas, Rosalie and Barbara Ann of Seabrook, Texas, one brother, Amos Christy of Wellston and one grandson Michael Bennett of Austin, Texas.
