NATCHEZ — Graveside services for Charlene Cornwell, 80, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at Promise Hospital in Vidalia, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Russell Wagoner officiating.
Burial will follow under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cornwell was born Nov. 11, 1929, in Winnfield, La., the daughter of Charlie Rogers and Lilly Copeland Rogers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, G.G. "Red" Cornwell.
Survivors include one son, Gerald G. Cornwell Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Natchez; one daughter, Kay Smith and husband, Keith, of Natchez; three grandchildren, Gerald G. Cornwell III, Ginny Hudspeth and Laura Lee Smith, all of Natchez; three great-grandchildren, Christopher Cornwell, Ashley Cornwell and Weston Hudspeth; one sister, Florene Shipley of Benicia, Calif.; and one brother, Mac Rogers of Vivian, La.
Memorials may be made to the Natchez-Adams Humane Society.
