COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Jones Funeral Home in Washington for Earl Eugene White, 73, who died Wednesday night at the Restopia Nursing home here. Mr. White had been in failing health for six years. Rev. George Pennington, Pastor of the United Methodist church at Ainsworth, officiated and burial was in the Ainsworth cemetery.
Born Aug. 31, 1897, at Ainsworth he was the son of William C. and Minnie Ditmon White. He married Esther Griffiths at Ainsworth in 1914, and she died in 1960.
Mr. White farmed in the Ainsworth community and for many years drove a school bus.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Theodore Ackley, Davenport, Mrs. M. R. Tatum, Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Duane, Ainsworth and Carl, Garland, Texas; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. R. E. Graham, Ames and one brother, Donald White of Westminster, Calif.
