Mrs. Dovie Jackson, 65, 300 E. Second St., wife of Andrew Jackson, died Saturday evening at Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Tennessee, she came to Muncie in 1947. Mrs. Jackson was a member of True Light Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Mrs. E.H. (Betty) Garrison, Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. Orville (Daisy) Koger, Redkey; two sons, Hollis and James Jackson, both of Muncie, and 10 grandchildren.
Services will be at Meeks Mortuary at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Carson Whitaker and Rev. James O. McCowan officiating. Interment will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Monday and any time prior to services Tuesday.
