Daisy C. Koger, 76, formerly of Redkey and more recently Muncie, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, March 14, 2010.

Daisy was the daughter of Dovie and Andrew Jackson. She was born in Sparta, Tennessee, October 17, 1933, moved to Muncie as a young girl and attended Muncie schools.

She married Orville Koger in August of 1957. They moved to Redkey where they farmed for many years. She also worked at Midwest Towel in Muncie and Kerr Glass in Dunkirk for several years. Daisy attended True Light Baptist Church and Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenda and Judy; her son, Lester; four grandsons, Chad Cook, Chris Cook, Andy Cook and Zachary Koger; five great-grandchildren, Payton Cook, Garret Cook, James Cook, Noah Cook and Jordan Cook; one sister, Betty Hopkins; several nieces and nephews; a special cousin, Anna Goodby; two nephew's by marriage, Bobbie Bicknell (wife-Collene) and Gerry Allen (wife-Marg); special friend and caregiver, Bonnie Mace; and most of all a large church family including dear pastors, Rev. James Oliver McCowan, Rev. Dennis Trimble, Rev. Clyde Hinds, and Rev. Terry Hinds.

Gone before is her husband, Orville; her parents; and two brothers, Jim Jackson and Hollis Jackson.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. James Oliver McCowan and Rev. Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Parson Mortuary or an hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday.
