Zelda May Ridgill met Isaac Newton Seela while she was visiting her aunt, Mary Ellen Dawson, and he was visiting his uncle, William Seela, in Englevale, Crawford County, Kansas. They married there on August 4, 1895. Four children were born in Kansas. They moved to Jasper County, Missouri around 1905, living at the location that has the current address 11589 County Road 80. Their fifth child was born in Missouri.
