Henry (went by Harry) Abraham Rothrock Sr. was the second of five known children of the noted Pennsylvania conservationist and forester, Dr. Joseph Trimble Rothrock (1839-1922) and Martha Ellen May Rothrock (1840-1917), who married 30 May 1869 at McVeytown, Mifflin Couinty, Pennsylvania.
Harry married Eleanor Cleves (1873-1945) on 07 Jun 1898 at Binghampton, Broome County, New York. Harry received an M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1895. He served in the medical corps during World War I. He was Chief of Eye Services for the Chester County Hospital for fifty years. Harry and Eleanor were the parents of six known children, namely:
1. Eugenia May Rothrock Heise (1900-1982)
2. Joseph Trimble Rothrock (1901-1985)
3. Henry Abraham Rothrock (1903-1982)
4. Addison May Rothrock (1903-1971)
5. Eleanor Cleves Rothrock (1907-1978)
