He was born May 21, 1929 in Iantha, Mo. to Mr. and Mrs. Harley Davis. He graduated from Lamar High School in 1947. Mr. Davis had worked for Trans World Airlines, Inc. for 17 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are his wife, Dorris Jean, two sons; three daughters; a granddaughter, all of the Kansas City area. Five brothers, Lester Davis, Albuquerque N.M. Warren Davis, Carthage, George Davis, Kansas City, and Calvin and Leland Davis, Lamar, and a sister, Myrtle Simms, Lamar also survive.
One brother Oliver Leroy, Iantha, Mo. preceded him in death.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at the McGilley Antioch Chapel. Burial was in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens.
