Myrtle was born March 11, 1922, at Iantha, Missouri, to Harley and Una (Rives) Davis. On August 31, 1952, at Huntsville, Arkansas, she married Kenneth W. Simms and they made their home in Lamar. Myrtle worked for O'Sullivan Industries for many years, retiring in 1983. Kenneth preceded her in death April 30, 2001 and, in 2006, Myrtle moved to Bentonville to be near family.
In addition to her husband, Kenneth, Myrtle was preceded in death by seven brothers, Oliver, Lester, George, Warren, Calvin, Leland, and Joe Davis.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Gayle & Thomas Roberson, Bentonville, Arkansas and Saundra & Leroy Chadd, Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, Shelley Morgan, Tracey Santoyo, Travis Roberson, Scott Roberson, and Tyler Roberson; three great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law, Shorty Godfrey, Lamar, Mary Alice Garrison, Nevada City, California, and Betty Davis, Webb City, Missouri.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 9th at Daniel Funeral Home with burial in Lake Cemetery.
