Dollie Mae Foster, 97, of Livingston died Sunday, July 26, 1998 at Livingston Health and Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 1998 in the chapel of Franzen-Davis Funeral Home. Rev. Lynden Kacick of Grace United Methodist Church of Livingston will officiate. Graveside committal services will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Franzen-Davis Funeral Home in Livingston is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Foster was born Feb. 1, 1901 in Garfield, Ark., the daughter of Samuel H. and Susan A. (Martin) Snyder. She received her education there and married James G. Foster on Aug. 4, 1918 in Garfield. Following their marriage, they moved to Livingston, where Mr. Foster was employed by the railroad. Over the years she had cared for many children in her home and thus became known as "Grandma" by many local children. She worked for a time as a kitchen helper for the Lott Hospital and Livingston Memorial Hospital. Mr. Foster died April 1, 1976.
Mrs. Foster was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Livingston. She enjoyed crocheting, needle work and loved to bake cookies. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving mother.
