Lillian Odland Deering, 70, 232 Franklin Ave., died Friday, Aug. 21, 1992, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.
She was born May 27,1922, at Fergus Falls, the daughter of Carl and Alberta (Thorn) Anderson. She grew up and attended schools in the Fergus Falls area. On Nov. 14, 1938, she married John P. Odlund in South Dakota. They lived in Fergus Falls, Mr. Odlund died June 1, 1985. She worked for DeSoto Produce, later known as Star Laundry and Cleaners. She then worked for her son at One Hour Martinizing. From there she began working in the laundry department at the Broen Home until her retirement.
On July 19, 1986, she married William Deering at First Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She also was a charter member of the Eagles Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, William; a son, Peter Odlund of Fergus Falls; two step-daughters, Jeanette (Mrs. Larry) Dorn and Barbara(Mrs. Bob) Lorsung, both of Fergus Falls; a brother, LeRoy Anderson of Maple Grove; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to Lakeland Hospice.
Visitation: Monday from 7 to 9 p.m., with a prayer service at 8 p.m., at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church
