Katherine "Kate" M. Truitt was born November 26, 1882, the daughter of David and Priscilla Ruth Sunderland Truitt. She married Harry H. Rogers in Peoria, Illinois and was the mother of William Laverne Rogers. Kate passed on April 11, 1968, in Peoria, Illinois and is interred at Chillicothe City Cemetery. Kate was the sister to Martin, Frederick, and Charles Truitt. Kate's professional family photo was handed down to me by my father, John Thomas Truitt, as Kate was a cousin in my father's direct family lineage,and it was safely kept by my Grandparents, Adrian and Helen (McEnroe) Truitt as they were very close cousins. My Grandmother, Helen (McEnroe) Truitt's handwriting is on the back of this professional photograph: "Kate Truitt Rogers". I feel so very fortunate to share this lovely photograph of Kate.
