Funeral services for Elmer J. Heinen, age 81, of St. Cloud will be at 10 am on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the Talahi Care Center Chapel in St. Cloud. Elmer died on September 10, 2010. Deacon Steve Yanish will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call after 9 am on Wednesday at the Talahi Care Center Chapel.

Elmer was born on July 20, 1929 in St. Cloud to Joseph and Regina (Raden) Heinen. He lived in St. Cloud all of his life where he was employed by the Opportunity Training Center.

Survivors include his sister Genevieve Hart of Pennsylvania, sister in law Dorine Heinen of Sauk Rapids, nieces: Sharon Vitzer, Janet Thompson, nephews: Francis "Shorty" Heinen, Matt Heinen, Glen Heinen, John Heinen, Fred Heinen, Delbert "Mickey" Stewart, Wayne Lenzmeier, Jerome Micholski and David Micholski, special grand niece Michele (Heinen) Capes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Francis Heinen, Sr., Edward Heinen, sisters: Ella Werner, Gertrude Welters, and nephews Raymond Stewart and Dwight Werner.
