Graveside services for Marie Keyes Vann, 85, of Pryor, Oklahoma, were held Tuesday, May 20, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at A.J. Powell Cemetery in Hominy, Oklahoma with Reverend Connie Taylor officiating.

Arrangements were under the direction of Powell Funeral Home. Casket bearers for the service were John Alexander, Raymond Alexander, Kenneth Spears, Ralph Spears and Sonny Carl. Musical Selections for the service were "In the Garden", "23rd Psalm", and "I'll Fly Away" performed by Sonia Brown.

Marie passed away on May 17, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on April 24, 1923 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Dennis and Rosa Ann (Bandy) Spears. She was the youngest of 13 children. Marie grew up in the Hominy area. She married Dr. Edward C. Keys, and to this union were born two children Linda and Gary, Edward preceded her in death in 1959. She later married Charles Leo Vann in 1961; he also preceded her in death in 1994. She made her home in Pryor since 1961, where she was a member of the Rebekah Lodge for 37 years and was past Noble Grand. She was a member of the Nazarene Church.

Marie is survived by a daughter Linda Cross and husband Jack of Hominy; a son Gary Keyes of Pryor; three grandchildren: Paula Staples, Regina Hutchison, Crystal Squirrell, eight great grandchildren, two great, great grandchildren, and a sister Ruby Carl of Shidler, Oklahoma.

Her parents, husbands, 11 siblings, and a granddaughter Stephanie Keyes James preceded her in death.
