Mrs. Evelyn Rowe, 78, of Greenwood, died of heart failure Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
Mrs. Rowe, a Carroll County native, was a nursing assistant at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. She was a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mrs. Rowe was the widow of the late Henry Clay Rowe.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Lee Funeral Home Chapel with President Darrell Jessup officiating. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery in Carroll County.
Mrs. Rowe is survived by one daughter, Kathy A. Rowe of Elgin, Texas; three sons, Jerry Clay Rowe of Des Moines, Iowa, John Albert Rowe of Borger, Texas and Danny Raymond Rowe of Midland, Texas; two sisters, Janie Rowe of Greenwood, Ruby Azbell of Winona; one brother, Raymond Bailey of Holly Springs; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Charles Shaw, Bert Fleming, Dale Blakely, Elder Toby Waggoner, Robert Ellis and Calvin Johnson.
Lee Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
