Clarence Reynolds
WATSONTOWN - Clarence Reynolds, 83, of Watsontown RD 1, was pronounced dead at his home at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1986.
State police at Milton said death was self-inflicted.
Born Feb. 12, 1903 in Delaware Twp., Northumberland County, he was the son of William and Ada[sic] Sterner Reynolds.
A lifelong area resident, Mr. Reynolds retired in 1967 from the former J&L Steel Co., Muncy, and was a self-employed farmer.
He was a member of the Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, Watsontown RD 1.
Mr. Reynolds was a member of the American Bowling League of Cloverleaf Lanes, Muncy RD 4, and a member of the Delaware Grange, Dewart.
His wife, the former Emma Weeks, died in 1981.
Surviving are seven sons, Earl, with whom he lived, Lester L., Robert E., Irvin J. and Emmett W., all of Watsontown RD 1, Raymond I., of Milton RD, and Clarence Jr., of Sunbury; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret L. Buck and Mrs. Sarah L. Hoey, both of Watsontown RD 1; a brother, Charles B., also of Watsontown RD 1, 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Delaware Run Lutheran Cemetery.
The Rev. harry Covert, his pastor, will officiate.
Friends may call at the church from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday.
