Kathleen worked as private secretary at Busch Gardens in Los Angeles and Statam Industries before retiring in 1992. She ws a poet, musician and longtime member of the Charles Dickens Society. Kathleen traveled frequently and lived in Los Angeles, Seattle, New York and Atlanta per her obituary published in Variety.
She passed away from a brain tumor shortly before the release of Kevin's film "Beyond The Sea," which he dedicated to her.

Thomas was born to mother Norma Louise Spacey and unknown first name Fowler. Norma subsequently married Willard Breck Longshore and had three more children, two of whom are still living. The third child was my friend Stephen Longshore who passed away Apr 15, 2013.
