Retired from Duracell in Lancaster, S.C., Mrs. Abercrombie was born in Shelby. She was the N.C. No. one Women's bowling Champion in 1964, taking home five trophies.
Mrs. Abercrombie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Dr. Craig Sheppard of Tifton, Ga. And Sandy and Don Whaley of Lancaster, S.C. and her son and daughter-in-law Rhett and Nancy Abercrombie of Columbia, S.C. and their two sons, Shawn and Trey and his wife, Heather all of Columbia, S.C.
