The Rev. Jesse C. Kindred, age 73, of 124 S. Morgan Street passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Betty Payne.
A native of the Indian Territory Rev. Kindred was the son of L. D. & Ellen M. Wells Kindred. He married Parenthia Tudor August 20, 1922.
Rev. Kindred was transferred to the Noble Area from Oklahoma by the Pure Oil Company. He entered the ministry while a resident of Noble. He pastored several churches in the area. Some were the Newton United Church of Christ, Glenwood Church & other country churches with his latest assignment being the St. Peter United Church in Van Wert, Ohio where he retired in 1977.
He leaves his wife and two children: Mrs. Betty Payne & Jack Kindred. He also leaves brothers & sisters: John, S. H., Nellie Park & Ella Mackey. There are 11 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, children, Leon & Geraldine Kindred and a sister Mary Brandon.
Funeral arrangements were by Summers Funeral Home. Burial in Noble Cemetery.
