Funeral services for Audra Bell, 78, of Rose will be held on Saturday, October 16 at 2:00 PM at the Smith Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Rose. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery in Rose. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6-8 PM at Key Funeral Home in Locust Grove. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home in Locust Grove. Ms. Bell passed away on Wednesday in Tulsa.
Audra was born on April 28, 1932 in Kenwood to Ira and Lillie Mae (Brown) Russell. She grew up and attended school in Mayes County. She and Bennie Ernest Bell were married on October 18, 1947. They made their home in Mayes County mostly, but spent a brief time living in New Mexico. Audra started working as a cook in the Salina School System in the early 70's. She worked there until retiring in 1992. In her spare time, Audra enjoyed many hobbies. She loved cooking, camping, gardening, fishing and embroidery. She loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. She also enjoyed traveling with her family.
Audra was a very active member of Smith Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Rose. She loved attending church and going to Gospel Bluegrass Church Singings. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary in Salina.
