Obituary - Key Funeral Home, Locust Grove OK

Funeral services for Sherman Glenn Bell, 50 of Locust Grove will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the First Baptist Church of Locust Grove with Pastor James Duffell officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery near Rose, OK. Services are under the direction of Key Funeral Home of Locust Grove.
Sherman was born March 17, 1958 in Pryor, OK to Bennie and Audra (Russell) Bell. He died July 23, 2008 in Tulsa, OK. Sherman grew up and attended school in Salina, graduating from Salina High School. He married Bettye Six on July 21, 1978 in Rose. The couple had made their home in Locust Grove. Sherman had worked for Pryor Stone, retiring September of 1997 due to his health. He liked to fish, camp and try new recipes on the grill. Sherman loved his church, the First Baptist Church of Locust Grove.

He is survived by his wife Bettye of the home; 1 daughter, Clarissa Hoover and husband Chris of Tulsa; 1 son, Travis Bell and fiancé Krystle of Locust Grove; 1 grandson, Joseph Loveall of Locust Grove; mother, Audra Bell of Rose; 3 brothers, Earnest Bell of Rose, Dean Bell of Chouteau and David Bell of Kansas, OK; 1 sister, Judy Hendricks of Monahans, TX; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1970.
