Louis was the son of Alfred & Elizabeth "Lizzie" Naylor Preston. He married Betty Hendrix, the daughter of Peyton & Prudie Masters Hendrix. The couple were the parents of Barbara Ann and Betty Lou Preston. Mr. Preston supported his family by working, as a filter operator, at the Lexington Water Works.
