John J. Osborn Passes Away At the Age of 69
John Jackson Osborn, 69, passed away in a local hospital early this morning, after a lingering illness which became acute only a few days ago. Funeral services will be conducted in Fickert's funeral chapel tomorrow afternoon at 2:30. Interment will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
Mr. Osborn was born in Glenn county*, California, June 11, 1869, and has lived in this part of the state all his life. More recently he has made his home in the Lowrey district.
He was the husband of Mrs. Gertrude Osborn of Lowrey; the father of Mrs. June Burrill, John E., Melvin, and James Osborn, all of Red Bluff. He was the brother of Mrs. Eunice Hull of Red Bluff, Mrs. Belle Wheeler and Alfred Osborn of Corning, S. H. Osborn of Oroville, J. M. Osborn of Berkeley, E. D. Osborn of Red Bluff, Mrs. Jennie Oaks of Lowrey, Mrs. Hattie Leveroney, of Red Bluff, Ben Osborn of Red Bluff and the late Munson Osborn of Red Bluff, who passed away in March. - Transcribed by E.
