John Entwistle, 85, of 811 Hazen Ave., Oglesby, died at 6:45 p.m. Monday in the Care Inn Convalescent Center of La Salle.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. in the Prey Funeral Home in Oglesby, the Rev. James Norton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Entwistle was born July 2, 1902, in England. He married Bernice Gaull on Sept. 16, 1926 in the Oglesby Baptist Church. He was retired from Marquette Cement Co. of Oglesby and had served as a police magistrate and justice of the peace. He was a member of Local 12 at Marquette and served as recording secretary.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice; three sons, John of Vancouver, Wash., Duane (Micky) of Oglesby and Robert of Rochelle; one daughter, Mrs. Albert (Beverly) Krieger of Rochelle; 11 grandchildren; 14 Great-grandchildren; and one sister, Maude Von Derkall of Kankakee.
He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald.
