Mrs. James L. Allison
Services will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Chester Arner Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Vida M. Allison, 59, of 1027 Phoenix Ave. Chester. Mrs. Allison, wife of James L. Allison, died Monday at home. A native of East Liverpool, she was born Feb. 18, 1915, a daughter of Ozia O. Wine and Lulu Ann Snyder Wine. She had been employed at the Taylor, Smith & Taylor Co. and was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Chester and the IBPAW. She had been active in the FISH program. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Bernard E. Tuell of Mineralwells, W. Va.; a daughter, Miss Barbara Ann Tuell, at home; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Eleanor Monroe of Chester; a stepson, James L. Allison, Jr. of New Cumberland, five sisters, Mrs. Nona Elliott of Chester, Mrs. Virginia Verdon of Glenmoor, Mrs. Wanda Dunn Wilton, Mrs. Flossie Cawdery and Mrs. Hilda Watson, all of California, and 13 grandchildren. The Rev. Willard Billica will conduct the Thursday morning services. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, South Parkersburg, W. Va.. Friends may call at the chapel Wednesday afternoon and night.
