FUNERAL TODAY
FOR MRS. COERS
----------
Mrs. Carolyn Coers, age seventy-seven, was found dead at her home in Orange township, Rush county, at noon Sunday. The body was found by Marshall and Mary Gahimer , of Blue Ridge, who had gone to call on Mrs. Coers, who lived alone.
She had been in failing health for some time but her condition was not considered serious. Dr. R. O. Kennedy, Rush county coroner, believes that her death occurred at midnight Saturday and was caused by organic heart disease.
Mrs. Coers was born in Orange township on November 22, 1865, the daughter of Jacob and Katherine Gahimer. She was a pioneer resident of Rush county and lived at the home in which she died for many years. She was married to Jacob P. Coers in November, 1897, and he died on November 8, 1932. She is survived by two brothers, Jacob and Louis, of Blue Ridge; three sisters, Mrs. August Coers, of Walker township, Rush county, and Miss Mary Gahimer and Mrs. Wilhelmina Rader, of Shelbyville.
She was a member of the Zion Evangelical church of Union township, Shelby county. Funeral services will be held at the C. F. Fix & Son mortuary here at 1:30 p.m. today with Rev. J. C. Klingeberger, pastor of the First Evangelical church officiating. Burial will be on the family lot in the Zion Evangelical church cemetery in charge of C. F. Fix. Friends may call at the Fix mortuary.
