LYONS,Ga., June 21----John Noah Tyson, 71, died at his home, Route 5 Lyons, early today after a long illness. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Ora Higgs Tyson; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Stanley, Lyons, Mra. Inez Hester and Mrs. Alice DeLoach, both of Savannah; four sons, Milo, Detroit, Mich., Tess, Lyons, Ross, Titusville, Fla. and Glenn Tyson, Mims, Fla.; 27 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held ar 4pm at the English Eddy Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member, conducted by the Rev. Ewell Nelson and the Rev. Richard Bass. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roger Page, Ray Stanley, John Williams, Paul Tyson, Sam Page, Brooks Higgs. Honorary will be Rufus Perry, Dr. H. D. Youmans, Ross Bowden, Burnell Cobb, Guy Herndon, Curtis Stephens, Fred Dennis, Henry Bass, Scott Faircloth, Arthur Clifton, Shepherd Price, and Lamar Stanley.
The body is at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. J. Stanley. Trapnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
