Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter, Thursday, January 18, 1962. Mrs. Baus, 81, Stricken At Village Home. Funeral Services Are Scheduled At St. Cloud Church. Mrs. Rose C. Baus, 81, of St. Cloud, died today at the home of a daughter in St. Cloud. She was born on May 2, 1880, the daugther of John and Lucy Wehner Dietz. On Aug. 13, 1901, she was married to Benedict Baus at St. Cloud. Mr. Baus died in 1940. Mrs. Baus was a member of the Christian Mothers society and the Third Order of St. Francis at St. Cloud Catholic church. Survivors include three sons, Roman, Hartford, John, St. Cloud, and Joseph, Milwaukee; and three daughters, Mrs. Irene Young, Milwaukee, Mrs. Florence Johnson, Fond du Lac, and Mrs. Agnes Gutman, St. Cloud. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Francis Darnieder, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Anna Entringer, Fond du lac; a brother, John Dietz, Wahpeton, N.D., and 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Baus was preceded in death by four children. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Lisowe Funeral home at St. Cloud and at 10 a.m. at St. Cloud Catholic church, the Rev. Roman Stoffel officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.

Baus, who died Thursday, were at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Lisowe Funeral home St. Cloud, and 10 a.m. in St. Cloud Catholic church. The Rev. Roman Stoffel officiated. Burial was in St. Cloud cemetery. Honorary bearers were the Mmes. Louisa Horn, Henry Mertes, Joseph Ditter, John Lisowe, Albert Sippel, Henry Keller, Math Mauer, John Hochrein, Mary Pauly and William Froehlich. Active bearers were James and Thomas Johnson, Dennis and Jerome Gutman, David Young and Vernon Baus. The Christian Mothers and Third Order of St. Francis attended in a body.
