---------------------------------------------
Wilson was 1 year old (born Nov 1898) when the 1900 Census was taken in Findlay Twp., Allegheny Co., PA. He was living with his parents, William E. Adams, 37, born May 1863 in PA, and Mary N. Adams, 41, born May 1859 in PA, and his older brother, Scott L. Adams, 7, born Oct 1892 in PA. He was also listed at home with his family in the 1920 Census.

Wilson Eugene Adams, 19, born 12 Nov 1898, registered for the WW I draft at Local Board for Division No. 1, Steubenville, Jefferson Co., OH, on 12 Sep 1918. At the time he was residing in Murdocksville, Allegheny Co., PA. He was a salesman for Arbuckle Brothers (coffee manufacturers) of New York City, NY. His contact was W.E. Adams of Murdocksville.

Apparently, after graduating from college, he obtained a sales position with a tire company, and this position caused him to move at intervals. In 1920 Wilson was residing in a lodging house, run by Barrie Van Dell, in Detroit, Wayne Co., MI. He was a rubber tire company salesman.

He married, ca 1923, Helen O. Elliott, born 6 Jul 1903 in PA. In the 1930 Census he and Helen were residing at 509 Coleridge Ave., Altoona, Blair Co., PA, and a daughter, Mary J. Adams, had been born in PA, and was 3 yrs, 8 mo, when the Census was taken. Wilson was a tire company salesman. Wilson was 25 when married, Helen was 17.
NOTE: The Census reader misinterpreted Mary J. as Mary G.

In 1940 the family was residing at 2317 Woodstock Ave., Swissvale, Allegheny Co., PA. He was a rubber company representative. They owned their home valued at $8,000. Wilson had 4 years of college, Helen had 1, and Mary jane was in 8th grade.

Helen died of pancreatic and liver cancer in Fairmount, Marion Co., WV, on 6 Apr 1943. Wilson sold his 6-room, brick home with 2-car garage in Swissvale in Sep. 1943. At some point thereafter moved to the Cleveland area, possibly to be closer to his daughter.

His second marriage was to Dorothy L. Weidemaier, born 13 Feb 1919 in Bucyrus, Crawford Co., OH. She bore a daughter, Sylvia-Rose, on 2 Oct 1947. Sylvia survived only a little over 6 months, dying on 27 Apr 1948. Wilson and Dorothy were divorced some time after that event. Dorothy remarried Virl F. Barry and they had a child. She died in Zephryhills, FL on 12 Dec 2008.

Wilson apparently resided in the Cleveland area until his death on 20 Nov 1964. His remains were removed to Clinton UP Church Cemetery where his parents were buried.
