Married to Alexander Bruner in Ohio. Moved to Linn County in 1850 settling on Section I about 1 1/2 miles east of Central City, Iowa. They had eleven children Philip; Lewis, who died in infancy; twins named John and George, who also died in infancy; Christiane; Peter; Adam; Eli; Anna; Hannah; and Phebe. Lydia died at the home of her daughter Christiane Birk, in Anamosa on Dec. 14, 1903 and brought back to Linn County for burial in Boulder.
