Joseph Yost Rothrock was the sixth of thirteen known children of Philip Jacob (went by Jacob) Rothrock (1788-1847) and Sarah Yost Rothrock (1795-1875 (some reords show 1885)), who married c1814 in presumably Pennsylvania. It is strongly felt that both Jacob and Sarah are also buried at the Williamsport (Washington Boulevard) Cemetery.
Joseph became a Methodist Minister. Joseph first married to Caroline (went by Carrie) L. Shriner (1832-1884) in c1852 in presumably Pennsylvania. Joseph and Carrie were the parents of nine known children, namely:

2. Charles Rothrock (???-young)
3. Katie Gertrude Rothrock Little (1857-1938)
4. Catherine Isabella Rothrock (1859-young)
5. Harry Noyes Rothrock (1864-1947)

8. Laura Rebecca Rothrock Quinn (1870-1964)
9. Alice Josephine Rothrock Blaikie (1871-1945)
After Carrie died, Joseph remarried to Clara Belle Little (1859-1890) in c1885 at presumably Pennsylvania. Joseph and Clara had no children. After Clara died, Joseph remarried to Celestia B. Little (1853-1943). Joseph and Celestia had no children together. Clara and Celestia were cousins, not sisters. After Joseph died Celestia remarried to James R. Ferrell (1851-1927).
