Etra L. Sharpe, 91, of Winter Park, FL, formerly of Galax, died November 16,1998,
in Manor Care Nursing Home in Winter Park. She was the wife of the late Harold
Sharpe. She was born in Carroll County on August 1, 1907, to Alex Lineberry and
Minnie Lawson Lineberry. Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Joyce
Jennings of Winter Park, FL, Kathleen and C.D. Pennington of South Boston; three
sisters, Mallie Jones and Marie Horton both of Galax; Gertie Lorton of Radford.
Funeral was November 20 at 2 p.m. in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel conducted by the Rev.
Mark Kilbourne. Burial was in Monta Vista Cemetery.
