Mrs. M. McGee, 87 resident Here 37 Years, Dies

Mrs. Mary T. McGee, 87, resident of Muscatine county since 1900 died at her home, 1119 Isett Avenue, at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday [April 20, 1937] after an illness of five days with bronchial pneumonia.

Born in Hoboken N.Y., Nov. 19, 1849, she settled first in Muscatine County 37 years ago but later moved to Cedar County, where she spent several years. She had been a resident of Muscatine for the past 15 years.

She was married to Daniel McGee Nov. 27, 1867 in Wilton. She was a member of St. Mathias church.

Survivors include three daughters Mrs. Elizabeth Preston of Springdale, Ia.; Miss Minnie McGee at home and Mrs. Mary Stecher of Pleasant Prairie: six sons, Will at home, Tom of Davenport, Pat of Wheatland, Dan of Durant, Philip of Chicago and Ed; one sister Mrs. Anna Brown of Schaller I., 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The body is at the Meyers Funeral Home and will remain there until rites are held at St. Mathias Church at 9 a.m. Friday. Burial will in St. Joseph's Cemetery at Cedar Valley.

The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
