According to her daughter Sara Hay (Covode) Davis's D.A.R. application papers, Bettie was a daughter of George W. Robb (1802-1858) and wife Christina Palmer; George being a son of Samuel Robb and Louisa St. Clair (1770-1840), daughter of Arthur St. Clair (1734-1818) and Phoebe Bayard (1743-1818).
