George W. Brown of Glennville Dies

George W. Brown,60,died at a Vidalia hospital Friday afternoon after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Tammie Love; three sons, Bill Brown, and Elease Brown of Glennville, and G.W. Brown, Jr., who is with the U.S. armed forces; four daughters, Mrs. B.N. Nesmith of Charleston, S.C., Mrs. Tom Rogers of Statesboro, Mrs. Oliver Kirkland of Glennville, and Mrs. G.H. Bourne of Fish Kill, N.Y.; his mother, Mrs. Addie Brown of Waycross; two brothers, three sisters and 16 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted for him at the Glennville Christian Church Sunday at 4 o'clock, by Rev. V.P. Bowers of Pembroke, and Rev. H.C. Hodges of Ludowici. Burial was in the cemetery at Love's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church.



Mother: Polly Addie Stanfield Brown (1869-1959).
