"MRS. MATTINA DEAD"
"Following an illness lasting only since Thanksgiving Day, Mrs. Joseph Mattina, aged 21 years, a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi, died at her home on Magnolia street this morning at 9:45 o'clock. Deceased was well and favorably known to Biloxians and her death will cause a shock among her friends as well as beloved ones. Mrs. Mattina was before her marriage Miss Sherry. She is survived by five sisters and two brothers. She was a devout member of the Catholic faith. While funeral arrangements have not yet been completed it was stated that the funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon with interment in the Biloxi cemetery."

"The funeral of the late Mrs. Henrietta Sherry, late wife of Joseph Mattina, who died yesterday morning at 9:45, was held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the residence of her sister, Mrs. R. J. D'Aquin, 425 Magnolia street. Services were conducted in the Church of the Nativity and interment was made in the Biloxi cemetery. A large number of the sorrowing relatives and friends of the deceased attended the last sad rites."
