Rhoda Williams married Asa Ballou on December 3, 1780 by Jonathan Harris, Justice of the Peace. She was the daughter of Nathan Williams (1728-1809) and Rhoda Carpenter (1728-1809). (Rhoda Williams and her father, Nathan Williams are descendant’s of Reverend Roger Williams, Founder of Rhode Island.) They had the following children all born in Gloucester, now part of Burrillville, Rhode Island.

1. Seth Ballou born July 3, 1781, died May 1, 1824, married Mary Talbot Willis, July 7, 1808

2. Elizabeth Ballou born April 18, 1783, died December 11, 1855, married Joseph Ballou, December 9, 1804

3. Sarah Ballou born March 7, 1785, died April 30, 1853, married John Armstrong, January 1, 1805

4. Nathan Ballou aka Ballow born December 7, 1788, died January 12, 1850, married Jane Martin, May 1, 1821 Knox Co. Indiana. Both are buried in the Upper Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Palmyra Twp, Knox Co. Indiana.

5. Celinda Ballou born May 15, 1791, died July 1, 1852, married Joseph Clarke, February 23, 1812
