David M. Carr was a Baptist Minister, he organized numerous Churches in Arkansas and Texas. He started the Baptist Church in Rosharon, Texas, and at the time of his death, was helping to organize the Baptist Church in Oyster Creek, Texas. He was survived by his wife Mattie O. Woods Carr, and 2 sons, Jabe Carr and A. L. Carr of Brazoria County. Rev. Carr lived in Bonney, Texas at the time of his death, and died sitting in his chair on his front porch of heart occlision. He was 75 years old.
