Gospel Herald - Volume 65, Number 43 - October 31, 1972 page 894 Martin, Lovina, daughter of John D. and Velina (Shantz) Steckle, was born in Huron Co., June 4, 1896; and died at Scott's Pavillion, Kitchener, Ont., Oct. 8, 1972; aged 76 y. 4 m. 4 d. On Dec. 21, 1920, she was married to Menno Martin, who survives. Also surviving are 4 sons (Albert, Harvey, Irwin, and Melvin), 3 daughters (Velina - Mrs. William Oesch, Alma, and Louella - Mrs. John Zandwyk), 25 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, one sister (Elizabeth Martin) and 2 brothers (Josiah and Elias). She was preceded in death by one daughter (Emma). She was a member of the Zurich Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Oct. 10, in charge of Clayton Kuepfer and Ephraim Gingerich; interment in the Zurich Mennonite Cemetery.
