Gospel Herald - Volume 66, Number 35 - September 4, 1973 - page 686 Martin, Menno, son of Tobias and Amanda (Eby) Martin, was born in Waterloo Co., Ont., Apr. 6, 1898; died at St. Joseph's Hospital, London, Ont., Aug. 6, 1973*; aged 75 y. 4 m. On Dec. 21, 1920, he was married to Lovina Steckle, who preceded him in death on Oct. 8, 1972. Surviving are 4 sons (Albert, Harvey, Irvin, and Melvin), 3 daughters (Velina - Mrs. William Oesch, Alma, and Louella - Mrs. John Zandwyk), 25 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and one brother (Simeon). One daughter (Emma) preceded him in death. He was a member of the Zurich Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on Aug. 8, in charge of Merlin Bender and Clayton Kuepfer; interment in the Zurich Mennonite Cemetery.
