Ervin Jennings Foster, III,

65, of Winfield, died April 15, 2001, at his home. Born in Winfield, May 21, 1935, he was preceded in death by his parents, James L. and Marjorie Stanley Foster; his wife, Virginia Foster; and one daughter, Sandra Kay Foster. He was a member of the Second Bethlehem Baptist Church, and worked in the timber and lumber business. He is survived by three daughters: Linda Pennington and husband, Paul, of Helenwood, Marjorie Jane Roberts and husband, Foy, of Winfield, and Jenifer Lewis and husband, David, of Knoxville; two sons, Haskel Foster and wife, Mattie, and Dennis Foster, both of Winfield; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one brother, James Foster of Winfield; two sisters, Gloria Childress of Somerset, Ky., and Debbie Shinkle of Winfield; special friends, Arthur Dingus and Bobby Daniels, both of Winfield; several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives. Funeral service was conducted April 20, 2001, in the chapel of West – Murley Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Chitwood and Rev. Paul Chambers officiating. Music was provided by Paul Chitwood. Interment followed in Halk Trammell Cemetery.
