Mrs. Olive M. Fisher Dead.
Mrs. Olive M. Fisher, 91, formerly of Emporia, died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dot Hensley, in Oakland, Calif. The body will be brought to Emporia Tuesday for burial in Maplewood cemetery. Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the home of her son, H. W. Fisher, 1229 Rural. Rev. C. L. Hovgard, pastor of the First Methodist church, will be in charge of the services.
Mrs. Fisher's maiden name was Olive Cunningham. She was born November 17, 1834, in Clarksfield, Ohio, and was married in 1856 in Ohio to Robert J. Fisher, who died November 25, 1876. In 1887, several years after her husband's death, Mrs. Fisher came to Kansas, later moving to Illinois. She came to Emporia in 1902 and lived here until two years ago when she went to California, to join her daughter.
No brothers or sisters survive Mrs. Fisher. One brother was the late Justice E. W. Cunningham. Mrs. Fisher is survived by four children, Mrs. Myra F. Forbes and Mrs. Dot Hensley, of Oakland, Calif.; Frank S. Fisher, of Riverside, Calif.; and H. W. Fisher, of Emporia. Four grandchildren also survive.
