OBITUARY APPEARED THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 25, 1975; Pg A4, The Evening Times, Trenton, Mercer Co., NJ. FLEMINGTON - Gerry Aveta, 54, of 24 Capner Street, died Tuesday in Somerset Hospital, Somerville. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had lived in Flemington since 1946. A self-employed painter and decorator, he was a member of Flemington Elks Lodge No. 1928 and was an Army Veteran of WORLD WAR II. Surviving are his wife, Louise Fione Aveta; two sons, Anthony of Springfield, W.Va., and Gerry Jr., of Alexandria, Va., two brothers, Ralph and Frank, both of Flemington; a sister, Mrs. Cecelia Jinks of Indianapolis, Ind., and three grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Magadalen's Church, with interment following in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street.
