Charmaine O'Brien,69, of Waterloo, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died of cancer Sunday, Oct. 5, 1997, in her home. Services: 11 a.m. today, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterloo. Burial: St. John's Cemetery, Independence.
Survivors include her mother, Charlotte Bacon of Cedar Rapids; three sons, Michael and Dennis, both of Waterloo, and Mark of Evansdale; three daughters, Elizabeth Beckman of St. Louis Park, Minn., Barbara Schaefer of New Hope, Minn., and Linda O'Brien of Waterloo; and two sisters, Josephine Snow of Cedar Rapids and Dolores Wiele of Fairfax.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her father, Howard Bacon; and a sister, Emma Julia Bacon.
She was born July 24, 1928, in Cedar Rapids and lived here until 1949.
