OBITUARY

Funeral services for Walter C. WELCH were under the direction of Duenkel Funeral Home. Mr. WELCH was 73 and died at his home on January 10, 1967.

Mr. WELCH was a retired farmer and rancher. For the past three years, he was employed at the B. L. Hoover Ranch.

From 1915 to 1956, Mr. WELCH had done farming and ranching in Hemphill County. Since 1956, he lived in or near Higgins. He was a deacon of the First Baptist Church in Higgins.

Survivors include his wife, Fannie Mae; a son, W. C., Jr. of Downey, California; three daughters, Mrs. R. A. SUMNER and Mrs. C. V. ROWLEY of Canadian and Mrs. H. K. MORRIS of Bronte; three brothers, T. R. of Redmond, Oregon, W. T. of Bellevue and Ray of Canyon; two sisters, Mrs. L. H. KING of Amarillo and Mrs. M. L. LANGFORD of Wichita Falls, 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
