May C. Reed, 90, of Kingsford, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the home of her son.

May DeLaet was born on May 1, 1920 in Wagner, WI, daughter of the late Albert DeLaet and Katherine (Sebero) DeLaet. She married Marx Reed in 1938 in Marinette, WI. He preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 1980.

May enjoyed singing, dancing, music, tatting, crocheting, and taking care of her home. She was a very generous and kind hearted person who was always willing to help others.

May Reed was survived by her son, Eldon (Judith) Reed of Kingsford; four sisters, Katherine (Marvin) Wagner of Wagner, WI, Pauline Christopherson of Menominee, MI, Elsie Hafeman of Wallace, MI, and Hubertine Wieting of Marinette, WI; two grandchildren, Darrell (Jodi) Reed and Delonna Reed, both of Oshkosh, WI; a great grandson, Jonathan Reed; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers Dominic DeLaet, Alexander DeLaet, Albert DeLaet, August DeLaet, Earl DeLaet, Honore (Jack) DeLaet, and Eugene DeLaet and five sisters Anna, Leonie (Tootsie), Gladys, Alice, and Marjorie.

Pallbearers were Dave Haywood, Roger Marquardt, Kurt Konell, Kray Gannigan, Peter D'Alberto, Sr., and Dean Zempel.
